Scott’s Tees’ Newest Single, “We Move as Fast as Storms Allow,” Is Simplicity in Its Most Effective Form

With technology being at its peak, it’s fair to say that we don’t have an excuse anymore with song production. Anyone, as long as they have the will to learn, can become a great producer. The downside of that is that we tend to over-produce everything. Scott’s Tees‘ newest track, ‘We Move As Fast As Storms Allow,’ is a clear example of simplicity beating technical mastery.

The track started with this simple yet effective guitar progression alongside that lead guitar lick that perfectly set up this indie/folk track that works hand in hand with its lyrics.

The main theme of the song is about struggle and the difference between dreams vs reality. It’s prominent in phrases like / I fell asleep feeling wrong uneasy / like a brush with death, a cigarette burning out / Walking alone inside a summer dream / Visions above everything / are just prime examples of longing for that hope vs what reality is.

‘We Move As Fast As Storms Allow’ is a good representation of what we need in today’s music. As an artist, it feels good to have this over-the-top production with all the technical mumbo jumbo that can feed our ego but yet we have this track proving that we can do the same thing with just a guitar and lyrics that speak volumes.
